“Put on some lipstick and pull yourself together.”
Anastasia Beverly Hill liquid lipsticks have been SO talked about since they launched a while ago. As per usual, I was late to jump on the bandwagon and only recently purchased one. I did want to purchase a lighter shade but the store I was in didn’t have any stock, and so i found myself purchasing the shade Trust Issues.
“Liquid Lipstick’s ultra-saturated liquid formula delivers an intense amount of matte pigment in a single swipe. Just one application leaves lips with smear-resistant coverage that stays put for hours.”
The Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks can be purchased from Sephora for $20- the same price as the Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes.
A sleek, transprent tube holds 0.11 oz of product. The packaging is completed with black wording and a metallic silver lid.
The liquid lipstock, like most others come complete with a doe-foot applicator. If you would prefer using a lip brush to apply the product, you could do so.
Throughout the day:
I applied the shade “Trust Issues” and these are my thoughts:
The lipstick shade was a bit dark for my liking, but that was entirely my fault. I would definitely purchase a lighter shade in the future.
The product applies quite easily although, because it is such a dark shade, it does smudge around the corners of my lip. It applies without streakiness or patchiness which is common with dark shades.
The Liquid lipstick feels quite comfortable although it is slightly drying on the lips. I would recommend applying a lip balm before and after use.
The product is very matte and 100% transfer proof. I found that this lipstick dried out in just a few seconds and did not transfer on the back on my hand.
My one major concern with this was that it disappeared a lot in the centre of my lips. If it weren’t for testing purposes, I would have had to re apply the lipstick to the centre of my lips after meals. After a few hours, I had a very visible patch in the centre and just had to re-apply some more. In terms of lasting ability, this was not my favourite.
