Mail Time with ZAR Cosmetics | Beauty

There’s very few things in the world more enjoyable than opening a surprise parcel from the mailman.
I was fortunate enough to be sent some items from ZAR Cosmetics n exchange for my honest review. Since I was already swampd with work, it took me little while to get down to testing these products out, but I finally did and here are my thoughts.

About the company:
ZAR Cosmetics is a comany specialising in beauty products and gadgets. They are situated in Musgrave, Durban but they do offer nationwide courier.

What I recieved:
ZAR Cosmetics sent me the following:
A pair of mink eyelashes
2 lipsticks
1 lip balm

My review:
Mink Eyelashes: Since I do consider myself blessed in the eyelash department, I rarely apply falselashes. These are quite beautiful. They are made of 100% natural mink fur and are hand-made. They are soft to the touch and quite lightweight. Because I have naturally think, elongated lashes, these do look natural on my eyes. However, when I tried these on a friend with more sparse lashes, these were more on the dramatic side. They didn’t feel as heavy as some lashes I’ve tried on in the past, which was a good thing. I recieved these in the style 001.

Lip Balm: Lip balm is an absolute essential when it comes to preventing the cracking of lips. I usually apply a lip balm every night before bed to ensure my lips are smooth and hydrated the next morning. This particular lip balm does feel extremely nourishing and hydrating, and helped relieve the dryness in my lips after a long day of liquid lipsticks. It has a light baby pink tint to it, which is great since it can be used alone during the day. The lip balm does have a sheen to it- which is common with mos lip balms.

Lipsticks: I received 2 lipsticks. When I first looked at these, they reminded me of a much cheaper version of the Loubotin Lipsticks since the design of the packaging is almost identical. However, the packaging does look quite cheap and inexpensive. The pigment of the lipstick is surprising. It is quite pigmented but applies a little bit streaky. The purple-toned shade is somewhat wearable for me. The lighter pink however, looks far too barbie-doll-like for my own personal taste. These lipsticks do have a matte finish and last relatively long although repplying after meals is a must.

Overall Thoughts:
I am extremely grateful to ZAR Cosmetics for sending me these products. I do enjoy the lashes and lip balm. I have mixed feelings towards the lipsticks. I would recommend visiting ZAR Cosmetics on Instagram @zarcosmetics
