“See my highlight from outer space”
Not too long ago, Wet n Wild launched the Megaglo range here in South Africa. These were extremely raved about internationally and so obviously, they were almost impossible to find. Luckily, I was able to snatch a highlighting powder (Precious Petals) and a highlighting stick (Marigold Round) to review.
Price and Purchase:
These retail for R89.95 each and can be found at Clicks stores and online. They are however, selling out super fast and it can be quite difficult to get your hands on.
The Megaglow Highlighting Stick comes in a standard plastic tube. You get 0.32oz or 9g which is quite a bit of product.
The Megaglo highlighting powder comes in a simple plastic tub. It has a stunning embossed pattern on the highlighter.
These claim to be used as both eyeshadows and highlighters- which I think works well. The highlighting stick can be applied directly from the tube to the face and then blended out, while the powder can be applied with a highlighting brush.
I purchased the highlighting powder in the shade Precious Petals which is a warm -toned gold highlght. It looks quite natural when applied but can be built up for a more intense highlight.
I purchased the highlighting stick in the shade Marigold Round which is mre silver-based than gold-based on my skin tone. It is quite intense when applied directly to the face but can be blended out for a more natural finish.
I am really excited that I was able to get my hands on these since they really are stunning highlighters. The pigmentation is amazing and it gives a gorgeous glow. The price point is great- it’s really affordable. I like that I can play around with the highlighter to give me either a natural look or a more intense look. I do wish there were more colours in the range and that they were more easily available. Overall, I would recommend grabbing these if you happen to spot them since they are definitely worth the money.
All my love
